Jen Cooper, 43, and Ben Cooper, 34, got engaged back in 2010 but put off getting married for various reasons and had three children in the process. Jen, who had two children from a previous marriage, was a mother of five who had recently celebrated five years of being breast-cancer free. But recently, Jen was diagnosed with cancer again. The couple originally planned on getting married Nov. 27 but they had to push it forward when Jen’s health quickly deteriorated....

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) reported 5,790 total hospitalizations, which accounted for both patients with lab-confirmed virus infections and suspected cases. About 1,500 patients were admitted to intensive care units (ICU) throughout California with either lab-confirmed or suspected infections. Roughly 1,000 people were hospitalized with the virus just last week, and roughly 300 people were admitted to ICUs. Statewide hospitalizations have increased by more than 30 percent over the last 14 days....

The research, published in the journal the BMJ, involved 96 COVID-19 patients being treated at a dedicated COVID-19 hospital in the eastern province of Zhejiang, China. Twenty-two of the participants had a mild form of the disease, defined as having no or mild pneumonia. The remaining 74 patients had severe COVID-19, with symptoms including breathing problems. Of those, 30 were treated in an intensive care unit. The data on the patients, aged 55 years old on average, was collected between January 19 and March 20....
